i knew what i wanted to be when i was only thirteen years old. i owe a big gigantic thanks to a couple of junior high and then high school art teachers who fueled my artistic fire. it was a career report i had to give in seventh grade that first lead me down the road to interior design, and it was the gentle nudges of my art teachers who helped me develop my basic skills in drawing, painting, photography, and sculpture.
being only a freshman in high school i won the national new york golden key award for the first time and went on to earn several more awards throughout my high school career. i then went to college to study art and to get my degree in interior design and business. with my family's love and support of me and my talents, i was able to face my fears and conquer them, which i might still be working on....
shortly after having my first of four children, i started my own design business, sold twenty two original art pieces in my first year at a prestigious art gallery in taos new mexico, and headed the art department in a business college in salt lake city utah. i then moved to new mexico where i have a successful interior design and decorative arts business that takes me all around the nation. i continue to teach children's art classes from my studio designed after the famous italian architects work, andre palladio. the studio is also rented out for various private parties and events which inspire all who enter.
i am passionate about sharing my talents and love for beautiful things. each new client is a new adventure, where i not only teach them what i know, but get taught in return. i continually listen to my clients needs and keep my mind open to their style and ideas. therefore, incorporating it all into a magnificent space designed specifically for them. i am continually educating and innovating myself in the design fields and arts, traveling to different countries if required. gosh, looks like the next seminar is in italy...
i am very fortunate to be blessed with four healthy and beautiful children, unbelievably incredible talents,a man who supports me unconditionally, and the love for creativity.
my biggest support group includes a handful of girlfriends who never judge and only love, my beautiful and talented twin sister who i can't live without, and of course a man who laughs with me, holds me whenever, and accepts me for me. i'm happy living in love finally.
